Reservations

Activity Area Reservations:  Any member of the public can reserve the Activity Area of Blackthorn Hill for daytime use which includes a large grassy area, a large picnic shelter with picnic tables, a grill, two fire rings and two latrines with a hand-washing station on the side..  See the Reservation Form and Fees google form at https://forms.gle/QXfub1Epdu47MRs37 .

Camping Reservations:  Members of WING can reserve one of two camping areas at Blackthorn Hill.  Tent camping is allowed in the Activity Area.  Blackthorn Hill also has three cabins each sleeping twelve in bunk beds in the Three Eagles Campsite.  Three Eagles Campsite also has a fire ring, a picnic shelter, two porta pots and a hand-washing station.  No camper trailers are allowed at Blackthorn Hill.  See the Reservation Form and Fees google form at https://forms.gle/QXfub1Epdu47MRs37 .

We have firewood there.  Surrounding counties, including Knox have the Emerald Ash Borer which is destroying the Ash Trees.  So far, Warren County does not have this insect.  You can be fined for bringing this pest into Warren County, so please leave your firewood at home.

A deposit of $25 by separate check will be held until the property is checked after your activity...

Rules for Activities at Blackthorn Hill

1. Please park all vehicles in main parking area.  A vehicle may be used to take supplies to the Activity Area but should be returned to the main parking area when finished unloading. 

2. Take your trash out with you when you leave.

3. Quiet hours are 11:00 PM to 6:00AM.

4. Please practice Leave No Trace principals.  

5. Groups with children under the age of 18 years must have at least 2 adults staying with the group.

6. No alcohol or illegal drugs allowed on the property.

7. Organized group activity reservation includes up to 40 people.

8. Blackthorn Hill is a smoke-free area.  Smoking is only allowed by persons of legal age inside their vehicles in the main parking area.

9. Make sure all fires are completely out before leaving.  Please do NOT bring your own firewood.

10. Securely close all windows and doors before leaving.

11. Replace anything you have moved to it's original location, i.e. picnic tables, beds, logs that weren't burned.
